David M. Pierce, President & CEO
A native of Missouri, David joined ENA in 2002, assuming day-to-day management of the company. With 27 years of successful management experience, David was responsible for operations with over $3 Billion in revenues as a Vice President at IBM. At Vastera Corporation, a provider of managed services to global Fortune 2000 clients, he was responsible for client acquisition, service, and satisfaction as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations. David brings a passion for delivering the highest possible levels of customer service to ENA. He is also chairman of ENA's board of directors.
Lenny Simpson, Senior Vice President
Lenny joined ENA in 2007 as Senior Vice President after a 33 year career at IBM, where he served most recently as Vice President, Services Integration for a large multivendor services outsourcing agreement. In that role, he was responsible for oversight of over $1 billion in IT services. His IT management experiences span multiple disciplines from sales and marketing through services and support, and across all industry sectors. Lenny’s focus is on enabling our customers to maximize the value of their relationship with ENA through superior service and strong customer and supplier relationships.
Rex Miller, Chief Financial Officer
Rex joined ENA in 1998 from Coventry HealthCare Corporation, where he was the Director of Finance. Rex is responsible for all financial aspects of ENA including assisting customers with the E-Rate funding program. Rex has over 19 years experience in financial management in healthcare, manufacturing and public accounting. Rex holds several professional certifications including Certified Public Accountant.
Jean Schmidt, Chief People Officer
Having over 41 years of experience in leading human resources, administration, and strategic planning for several US Fortune 500 companies, Jean Schmidt joined ENA as Chief People Officer & Corporate Secretary in October 2000. Jean has also been active in community leadership serving on boards of directors for numerous organizations and companies including Human Side Corporation, the TN and the Southeast Region of the Arthritis Foundation, and the TN Heart Association among many others. Currently, she is chair of Nashville CABLE’s Advisory Board. Most recently, Jean was appointed a 4-year term to the Tennessee Workforce Development Board by TN’s Governor. Prior to ENA, Jean was Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for Aspect Communications. As ENA’s Chief People Officer, Jean is responsible for talent planning, acquisition, retention strategies, and people programs supporting corporate culture and business strategies.
Bob Collie, Senior Vice President of Technology, Chief Technology Officer
Bob joined the ENA team in March 2000. He is responsible for both solution development and ongoing management oversight of all technology and services throughout ENA ensuring that ENA’s connectivity and communication solutions are designed for the unique needs of education and libraries. Bob brings innovative and emerging technologies to ENA’s customers through his active participation in regional and national associations such as Internet2 and StateNets. He has significant experience both integrating new technologies and solutions into existing networks, making them faster and more reliable, as well as with aggressive technology deployments. Overseeing the overall technical architecture and direction of the company, Bob plays a critical role in ENA’s leadership team. Prior to joining ENA, Bob served as Chief Technical Officer for Telalink Corporation, a regional Internet service provider, and then as Integration Project Manager for PSINet.
Gayle Nelson, Vice President, Customer Services
Gayle joined ENA in 2004 bringing over 20 years of experience in sales, operations management and customer service. At ENA she is responsible for sales, customer relationship management and business development activities nationwide. Prior to joining ENA Gayle held a variety of leadership roles at IBM and was most recently the Business Unit Executive responsible for software sales and account management in a five-state region in the Midwest. She also served as Director of Sales at Vastera Corporation, a provider of managed service solutions to Global 2000 companies, where she was responsible for sales and account management.
Lillian Kellogg, Vice President, Client Services
Lillian Kellogg has dedicated her career to education and has over 25 years of experience in working with schools and libraries in the field of educational technology. She is a member of the board of directors for the Partnership for 21st Century Skills (P21) and the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) and a past board member of the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA). She co-chairs CoSN's Empowering the 21st Century Superintendent initiative and also serves as a member of the Executive and Finance Committees for P21 and CoSN. Lillian started her career as a high school teacher and has held national positions with education and library market leaders. Before joining ENA, Lillian founded The Peak Group, an industry-leading consulting company focused on technology in education. As vice president of client services for ENA, Lillian oversees marketing as well as strategic national association partnerships.
Dana Moore, Director, Community and Government Relations
A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Dana was elected to the Tennessee House of Representatives in the 1980's, where she served on the House Education and Judiciary Committees. She has spent the last 20 years in marketing and business development in both the private and non-profit sectors. Dana came to ENA from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, where she served as Director of the popular early childhood literacy program.
