Adams County, IN, Library Embraces Change for the Better
In 2008, two public library districts in Adams County, IN, joined to form a single entity in order bring better services to the county’s patrons. Moreover, the new library district decided to join the Evergreen Indiana Library Consortium, a statewide library resource-sharing program. Today, the county’s patrons are enjoying better service, more programs and the ability to search and request items from any other consortium partner in the state. Thanks in large part to ENA, the consolidation of two collections and “the migration to Evergreen was seamless.”—Kelly Ehinger, Director, Adams County Public Library, IN
The Evergreen Indiana Library Consortium Blurs Borders and Barriers to Access
“As we as a society become more technological and as the demands are pushed on us individually to become more technologically adept, I see libraries assuming the role of computer service provider to their communities.”—Catherine Lemmer, Coordinator of the State of Indiana’s Evergreen Library Consortium
Not Your Average Library: High-Tech New Carlisle-Olive Township Public Library, IN, Strives to Be “More Than Four Walls and a Bunch of Books”
“We’re here to serve. We’re a small community, and we know the people we serve. If someone has a problem, we’re here to help. If you’re supposed to take an online test, and your computer has died, give us a call. By the time you arrive, we’ll have a laptop with Internet connection set up in one of the private study rooms. If you can’t physically get to the library, just call us up and we’ll mail you audio books. If you’re on the go, and would prefer to IM us with questions about resource availability or an event time rather than call, shoot us an IM and we’ll answer you that way too.”—Stephen Boggs, Library Director, New Carlisle-Olive Township Public Library, IN
Fulfilling a Vision of Lifelong Learning: ENA Brings Seamless Managed Network Services to Indiana Libraries

“Those of us in the field, those working face to face with patrons, trying to aid them in their missions of learning, we get great comfort knowing that we’re working with…highly trained experts that see the big picture – our big picture. I can’t say enough about the account service managers and engineers at ENA. I can’t afford to bring employees onboard with ENA’s degree of expertise… I must outsource that expertise to fill the gap and with ENA we’ve hit gold.”—Beverly Martin, Library Director, Johnson County Public Library System, IN
