ENA Vice President of Client Services and new Chair for the Partnership for 21st Century Skills (P21) Lillian Kellogg spoke with Education Talk Radio host Larry Jacobs on the air Friday, September 16, 2011. Joining her for the segment called “Going Above and Beyond: Aligning the Work of P21 to National Education Initiatives” was P21 Executive Director Tim Magner. In the interview, Kellogg and Magner discuss the role of the “4 Cs”—critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity—in preparing today’s students to be successful in school, in careers and as citizens in the 21st century. In addition to these and other current initiatives and goals of P21, Kellogg and Magner talk about the common core standards and how to integrate them with 21st century skills.
