Students and Educators Are the Real Winners
The number of states and large districts looking to ENA for their managed network, data, voice and video solutions continues to grow: Baltimore City Public Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, the states of New Hampshire and Vermont, and Fayette County Public Schools (GA) all became ENA customers in 2011.
But no matter the customer’s size, ENA earns each and every one by bringing above-and-beyond customer service to smart, education-focused services that solve their unique problems and mitigate their special challenges. In the end, ENA is the better value—and students and educators are the real winners.
Baltimore City Public Schools
In July of 2011 ENA will commence deployment of managed wide area network (WAN) services to more than 200 instructional and administrative sites across the Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS), one of fifty largest districts in the nation. As part of turnkey, managed service, ENA will provide the WAN network infrastructure, implementation plan, network connectivity, network hardware, dedicated account support and 24x7x365 network monitoring and management for the duration of their five-year contract. BCPS has seen a dramatic increase in scoring on state exams in recent years and ENA’s services will help drive their vision of accelerating the academic achievement of all students.
Atlanta Public Schools
Beginning in July 2011, ENA will become the managed wide area network (WAN) provider for Atlanta Public Schools (APS), ensuring reliable, high-speed broadband connectivity to the district’s 100-plus learning and administrative sites. The WAN architecture from ENA will integrate and improve upon all of the district’s current Metro Ethernet fiber circuits. ENA will not only provision and install circuits and equipment for the enhanced service but will also maintain, support, monitor and troubleshoot the service. The strategic partnership with ENA will help APS—one of the top 100 largest districts in the U.S.—realize their mission to improve student achievement, increase community engagement, strategically manage and leverage technology, ensure fiscal responsibility and stability as well as improve efficiency and effectiveness of district processes.
New Hampshire Statewide K–12 Network
In early 2011 ENA began working with New Hampshire public and private schools to provide them with enhanced, cost-effective Internet access, managed network services and more through the New Hampshire K–12 Schools Connectivity Consortium. Participating districts are able to purchase managed, high-speed broadband Internet access, wide area network (WAN) services, E-Rate filing assistance, robust content filtering, a carrier-class e-mail collaboration platform, video teleconferencing and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telecommunication services.
Vermont Statewide K–12 Network
After a 2008 analysis, the Vermont Department of Education determined the state’s schools were not getting the full benefit of E-Rate funding. Subsequently, through a request for proposal (RFP) process, the department selected ENA to create an E-Rate-eligible, statewide managed network accessible to all Vermont schools. ENA will provide Internet access and wide area network (WAN) services to all participating districts, including options to deploy IP voice and video teleconferencing services.
Fayette County Public Schools, GA
In July of 2011 ENA will begin working with Fayette County Public Schools, GA, to provide managed wide area network (WAN) and broadband Internet access services to the district’s more than 30 schools and administrative sites. Fayette Schools will look to ENA to deploy and manage a comprehensive, cost-effective, scalable, E-Rate-eligible network for its instructional and operational needs. Through the provision of this network, ENA will support the district’s goal of educating students that will be capable of living and working effectively, responsibly and productively in a global environment.
