Content Filtering

Download full PDF brochure here.

Content Filtering services from ENA allow the benefits of the Internet while reducing the risk of Internet users being confronted with offensive, inappropriate, and possibly illegal material.

The ENA Content Filtering solution uses a customized blend of best-of-breed options tailored specifically for your local or statewide network while offering high throughput, override capabilities, and local customization. When combined with ENA's proprietary Authorized Override service, Content Filtering provides maximum safety while complying with First Amendment requirements and Federal regulations such as the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA).

Examples of a few of ENA's filter categories are Hate/Discrimination, Gambling, Pornography, Adults Only, Suicide/Murder and School Cheating Pages. If a site is found to contain material from one of these filter categories, it is added to the blocked sites list. With ENA's Differentiated Content Filtering solution, each school system, library or government agency can select and customize which filter categories are monitored for their content filtering.

Authorized Override Manager
The Authorized Override manager is an add-on component for ENA's Content Filtering services. With Authorized Override, administrators may assign filter override rights to selected users in a school system, library, or government agency, such as technology coordinators, librarians, or teachers. Authorized users who encounter a blocked Web site will be able to enter secure logon information to gain temporary, logged unfiltered access to the site. Authorized Override sessions are an easy way to increase the number of educational resources available for legitimate research and school projects.
