Collaborating With School Districts and CoSN Strengthens the Opportunity for Meaningful Results in Your Digital Transformation Efforts

Collaborating With School Districts and CoSN Strengthens the Opportunity for Meaningful Results in Your Digital Transformation Efforts

This fall, the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) and the Tennessee Education Technology Association (TETA) partnered with Tennessee schools to deliver professional development learning opportunities through CoSN’s Teaming for Transformation (T4T) program. The T4T program engages district leadership teams in valuable conversations around the subject of digital transformation. Maryville City Schools (Maryville) and Maryville College worked closely with CoSN and TETA to host this event, which included over 110 participants representing 19 Tennessee school districts and one Alabama school district. District teams included superintendents, chief technology officers (CTOs), chief information officers (CIOs), technology leaders, administrators, and curriculum and instructional leaders.

The event kicked off with site visits at Maryville’s elementary, middle, and high schools. In-depth conversations with Maryville’s administrators, parents, students, and technology personnel followed the visits. Participating districts had the opportunity to ask questions and request information about the specific practices, technology tools, and processes Maryville has implemented to deploy and assess its digital transformation. Topics of discussion ranged from one-to-one (1:1) rollout logistics to using technology as an accelerator for learning.

After the site visits concluded, the participating districts regrouped and were tasked with assessing their respective district’s progress. Additional mini sessions were offered for district teams to engage in deeper discussions pertaining to leadership, professional learning, instructional content, technology, infrastructure, and data assessment. Districts were challenged to build upon their T4T work by continuing their team planning discussions and engaging collaboratively with other school systems to support their implementations.

ENA was honored to participate in the T4T event. It was inspiring to see the impactful transformations that are occurring in Tennessee and Alabama school districts. To learn more about CoSN or to access its suite of valuable digital transformation resources, click here!
