Commitment to Diversity

A Robust and Diverse Supplier Network

ENA is seeking opportunities that leverage the talents of minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses to help deliver our transformative and innovative solutions to the education and library communities we serve. As an equal opportunity employer, ENA is committed to promoting diversity in all aspects of our business, and we have a strong corporate commitment to establishing and maintaining supplier diversity in support of minority, women, and veteran business enterprise program goals.

ENA has an established track record of seeking, establishing, and expanding partnerships with MWBE and veteran businesses. As we engage in the pursuit of new business and service opportunities across the nation, we partner with MWBE and veteran businesses to meet program goals and superior and cost-effective services to our customers.

Implementation and Support Services Needed:

At ENA, we are always searching for opportunities to partner with MWBE and veteran providers. Below is a sample list of the type of implementation and support services we are actively seeking.

  • Installation of VoIP phone handsets
  • Installation and configuration of routers and other network hardware
  • Installation of low voltage cabling
  • Installation of OSP & ISP—inside plant and outside conduit
  • Configuration, break/fix, and troubleshooting services
  • Staffing firms
  • Printing and collating services

Our intent in working with MWBE and veteran resources is not simply to employ their services, but where possible and appropriate, to help them enhance their services and position them to achieve real business growth.

–Lenny Simpson, Senior Vice President of Operations, ENA

Examples of our most significant outreach process successes:

To support our ENA SmartVoice deployment at Shelby County Schools (formerly Memphis City Schools), we employed three local MWBE firms to install and configure over 13,000 telephone handsets. One of the participating MWBE firms pursued and received authorized reseller/installer status with our primary handset vendor as a result of ENA’s introduction and sponsorship.

In Indiana, we subcontract with two MWBE firms to provide field support for service calls and new installations related to services delivered under ENA’s state contract. Their participation affords us the opportunity to contribute to their growth while enabling us to serve our customers more efficiently and effectively.

In Maine, we subcontracted with an MWBE firm to employ their services in support of a mobile device management program for the Maine Learning Technology Initiative.
