ENA’s Suite of Assessment Resources
The rapid influx of new and affordable technologies combined with high-quality broadband access has empowered today’s educators with the ability to transform their learning environments and instructional delivery in previously unimaginable ways. Online assessments that deliver timely and relevant data have become a reality with the integration of devices in the classroom, offering teachers new methods for dramatically improving and personalizing student learning.
Since their initial introduction a few years ago, online assessments have transitioned from being the exception to the norm in many school districts across the country. ENA in collaboration with eLearn Institute, the Consortium of School Networking (CoSN), the School Superintendents Association (AASA), and the National School Boards Association (NSBA)has put together a suite of resources designed to help school districts implement, enhance, and/or evaluate the effectiveness of their own online assessment programs.
We hope you find these comprehensive resources informative and helpful.
This first white paper, Raising the BAR: Becoming Assessment Ready, focuses on action items that can help school districts prepare for online assessments. It includes a comprehensive report, school district case studies from three districts, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and a readiness recommendations and checklist guide. This is an excellent go-to guide for school districts in various stages of digital transformation and online assessment readiness.ACCESS RESOURCES
The new white paper, Online Assessment: From Readiness to Opportunity, looks at the current state of online assessments, highlights best practices of school districts who have transitioned to online assessments, and illustrates the benefits and values of online assessments to the broader K–12 education community, including students, teachers, parents, administrators, superintendents, and school board members. It includes recommendations and a checklist for becoming assessment ready as well as school district vignettes featuring Houston Independent School District and Santa Fe Public Schools. Also, available is an added valuable resource of an Online Assessment Planning Tool useful to school districts in a range of settings.ACCESS RESOURCES
