We are very excited to announce the release of SETDA’s new report, The Broadband Imperative II: Equitable Access for Learning. These 2016 guidelines expand on earlier recommendations included in SETDA’s groundbreaking report The Broadband Imperative: Recommendations to Address K-12 Education Infrastructure Needs, which received broad recognition and became the national benchmark for broadband services for school districts.
This new report provides new benchmarks and continues to advocate for increasing robust Internet access both in and out of school to best prepare all students for college and careers. The paper provides specific recommendations regarding the following topics:
- Increasing infrastructure to support student-centered learning
- Designing infrastructure to meet capacity targets
- Ensuring equity of access for all students outside of school
- Leveraging state resources to increase broadband access
ENA is proud to have been a contributor as well as a sponsor for the project. To learn more, view SETDA’s full press release here, or download the executive summary and full report below.
