The Kentucky Society for Technology in Education is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional organization and affiliate of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). KySTE is committed to the support of technology in education and is governed by a board consisting of nine officers, eight regional representatives, and an executive director, all of whom, with the exception of the executive director, volunteer their time. The board meets monthly and sponsors two major events each year, the fall training event and a large conference in March. Additionally, through its grants and services arm and the generous sponsorship and support of KySTE’s vendor partners, KySTE promotes its interests through grants, partnerships, and special programs. KySTE’s members consist of district technology coordinators; technicians; tech resource and integration specialists; Student Technology Leadership Program coordinators and sponsors; library media specialists; general district and school leadership; and classroom teachers who share a passion for the use of technology in education.
