ENA Lends a Hand at the Fannie Battle Day Home for Children

This fall, through our partnership with Hands On Nashville, ENA had the honor of helping the Fannie Battle Day Home for Children build out some helpful tools for teachers and students.
“Fannie Battle makes such an impact in the community by serving children and families in need through affordable childcare and additional assistance programs,” said ENA Talent Coordinator Claire Sanders. “But the morning we spent there was just as much about the teachers as it was about the students—the work they do is noble, but also challenging, and I felt honored to be able to show gratitude for all that they do!”
We had the opportunity to support Fannie Battle teachers and students through the assembly of teacher supports and with the facilitation of an interactive activity. Our efforts included assembling and installing art centers in classrooms, assembling teacher support kits, and working with students to create some decorative Halloween cats.

“We had such a wonderful day spending time with the children at Fannie Battle,” said Matthew Turner, Vice President of Operations. “It was so rewarding to see their faces light up when we came in to do crafts together. The Halloween cats came out great.”
Fannie Battle Day Home for Children is a childcare center located in East Nashville. The organization is committed to serving high-needs families by providing high-quality care on a sliding scale, enabling parents of all socioeconomic backgrounds to access affordable childcare.
